WACO, TX — Waco Transit Systems is offering free rides to Texas State Technical College (TSTC) students.
TSTC is included on Waco Transit's Route 5. Students will be able to ride on any of the system's 10 routes for free.
Students can receive personalized TSTC/ Waco Transit identification cards at the campus Student Services Center. They can then flag down buses in order to be picked up along the fixed routes.
TSTC's Provost for the Waco campus, Adam Hutchison, said the partnership expands services for students.
"TSTC has partnered with Waco Transit for years to provide service to our campus, but this arrangement expands the service for our students to ride any fixed route on Waco Transit at no cost," said Hutchison. "Some of our students don't have access to reliable transportation on their own, and now they can use Waco Transit anywhere in the city -- not just TSTC -- for free."
