WACO, TX — Waco Police is investigating a murder where the victim was struck with a hammer and killed.
According to police, officers responded to a disturbance at 1205 East Calhoun on Feb. 11 at 5:15 a.m.
Upon arrival at the home, officers discovered one person deceased.
During the investigation, a suspect was arrested for Murder.
The investigation revealed that the suspect, David Johnson, and a family member became involved in an argument.
Police say during the argument, the victim was struck with a hammer and killed.
The male victim has been identified. Pending notification of next of kin, the name is not yet being released.
Johnson was arrested for Murder and several outstanding warrants.
Multiple units assisted patrol at the scene.
Police say their investigation is ongoing.
