Waco PD investigate three shootings over the weekend

WACO, TX — Waco Police are investigating three shootings that occurred over the weekend.

A shooting near Whataburger on N Valley Mills on June 20 left a 19-year-old dead. That victim has now been identified as Tyreese Carrol.

Police also responded to another shooting on June 21 that left two injured.

Shortly after midnight, Waco PD officers were dispatched to the 700 blk of Olive St in Waco for a shots fired call.

When officers arrived on-scene, they learned that 2 male individuals had been shot by what is believed to be a handgun, one in the foot and one in the thigh, according to police.

The men shot were 18 years of age and 43 years of age.

In the area of the shooting, officers located multiple shell casing from multiple calibers of weapons. There were also houses and vehicles on both sides of the street that had been struck by bullets.

At this time there are no suspects in this case but officers believe a black 4 door sedan was involved.

Officers responded to a third shooting on June 22.

Shortly after 1 am, Waco PD officers were dispatched to the 2100 blk of Proctor Ave in reference to the third shooting of the weekend.

When officers arrived, they learned that a residence on proctor had been struck by 6 bullets.

Police say no one was struck or injured during this shooting.

Residents in the area did hear a vehicle speed away from the scene but were unable to gain a vehicle description.
