WOODWAY, TX — A Waco man has been arrested for soliciting a person he believed was a 16-year-old girl.

According to the Woodway Police Department, on July 8, 38-year-old Michael Williams used a social media app in order to communicate with who he believed to be a 16-year-old girl.

Police say Williams used sexually explicit language throughout the conversation and requested nude images from her.

He then allegedly requested a meeting between the two for the purposes of sexual contact.

Detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Williams for the offense of online solicitation of a minor, a second degree felony.

On July 9, Williams was located and arrested at a motel in the Bellmead area. He was placed in the McLennan County Jail where he is held on a $10,000 bond.
