WACO, TX — Police say the car found in the Brazos River Friday was reported stolen out of Waco back in May. The car appears to have been in the river for a while, said police.
After divers searched the area and car, the Waco Fire Department said it appeared to be unoccupied.
The car was reported in the river at 3700 Martin Luther King Blvd.
Units responding to the scene said only the roof of the car was visible when they arrived.
The car was pulled from the river, and a wrecker removed it from the scene.
