Waco City Council votes to approve extension of declaration of emergency until October

WACO, TX — During the Waco City Council meeting on Tuesday, September 15, 2020, the Council voted to approve a Resolution extending the City’s declaration of emergency until 11:59 p.m. on Saturday, October 31, 2020.

The City Council previously had adopted resolutions to continue the declaration of local disaster and public health emergency originally issued on March 17, 2020.

The declaration was amended on March 19, 2020, and March 23, 2020, by Mayor Kyle Deaver, and as ordered by the City Council of the City of Waco, Texas, on March 24, 2020.

It was then extended and/or modified on March 31, April 14, April 21, April 28, May 7, May 19, May 28, June 30, July 21, and August 18, 2020 ("City Order") until 11:59 p.m. on October 31, 2020, and may be amended by the City Council of the City of Waco, Texas.
