MCLENNAN COUNTY, TX — The Texas Department of Transportation started a project to replace two bridges in McLennan County.

The Crunk Road Bridge on County Road 790, just south of Downsville Road, and the Bays Road Bridge on County Road 578, east of Northcrest Drive, will be replaced with a wider and longer concrete design that meets the current roadway safety specifications.

The Crunk Road Bridge is currently closed and is set to be finished and reopened this Fall. The Bays Road Bridge will be completed shortly after in the Spring of 2020.

The project is estimated to cost around $900,000.
