WACO, TX — TxDOT is advising drivers of upcoming closures for the My35 Waco Construction Project.

Crews will close the I-35 southbound frontage road from 12th Street to 17th Street for paving work.

This closure is anticipated to occur nightly beginning as early as Sunday, Feb. 16 through Tuesday, Feb. 18 from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.

During the closure, local access will be maintained via 9th Street and through drivers will be directed to the I-35 mainlanes.

Crews will close both the east and westbound lanes of US 84 under I-35 beginning as early as Sunday, Feb. 16 at 7 p.m. to install drainage features.

Additionally, the U-turn from the southbound I-35 frontage road at US 84 will also be closed.

These closures are anticipated to be in place for one night, and reopen Monday, Feb. 17 at noon.

Drivers on US 84 will need to use BUS 77 or Behrens Circle to cross under I-35.

This closure was originally scheduled for Monday, Feb. 10, but was delayed due to weather.

Crews will remove the overhead sign for the Lake Waco/Lake Shore Dr. exit (Exit 339) near Behrens Circle Wednesday night, Feb. 19. To perform this work quickly and safely, crews will stop all northbound mainlane traffic while the sign is being removed. Once the removal is complete, traffic will be able to proceed. A temporary exit sign will be placed to identify the exit Lake Waco/Lake Shore Dr.

Please follow all signage and watch for crews in the right of way.
