Two Waco Police officers sent to hospital after being involved in two separate crashes

WACO, TX — Two Waco Police officers were sent to the hospital after being involved in two separate crashes Wednesday morning.

Around 11 a.m. on November 25, anofficer was on his police motorcycle conducting a police funeral escort. While he was traveling south on Corporation Parkway, he was involved in a crash at the intersection on Corporation Parkway and Crosslake Drive.

Shortly after the crash, another Waco PD officer was involved in a separate collision at the intersection of South 18th Street and Clay Avenue. The officer was responding to the crash involving the first officer.

Both officers were transported to a local hospital for medical treatment. One has since been released and is doing well, according to Waco PD.

The other officer is still receiving treatment for injuries that he sustained during the crash.

Both drivers of the other vehicles were also taken to the hospital for treatment. Their current injury status is unknown.

Waco PD says both crash scenes have since been cleared. At this time, there is no other information available.
