MCLENNAN COUNTY, TX — The Texas Department of Transportation says there will be traffic light closures on U.S. interstate 84, at the intersection of Waco Drive and the I-35. For those traveling that road, be aware that there will be temporary traffic lights in place at that intersection.
TxDOT said to also note that once the new lights are installed, they will be flashing red while traffic control programs them for use. While that is happening, there may be flaggers with stop signs out to direct traffic, but if there are not, the department requests that drivers follow traffic control's directions.
Contractors are expected to have the new lights programmed and installed by 10 a.m., and to resume regular traffic patterns by noon.
