WACO, TX — Tennyson Middle School campus will close through Friday following an increase in COVID-19 cases.
The school will shift to online instruction beginning Tuesday.
Principal Matt Rambo says officials were notified that three more people, who have been on campus, tested positive for COVID-19.
Those who were in close contact with the people who tested positive have been notified and will stay home for 14 days from their last contact with someone who tested positive.
Rambo says following these most recent cases, nearly 20 teachers will be out for the rest of the week along with a number of other employees.
Students will be able to return to in-person instruction on Monday, November 30 following Thanksgiving break.
