ROBINSON, TX — A student-athlete who attended a boy’s basketball skills session from Robinson ISD has tested positive for COVID-19.
The student tested positive on Tuesday morning and was in contact with seven students and two coaches.
The entire group has since been notified and are self-isolating at home.
After further investigation, Robinson ISD found the student had been in contact with several other students during off-campus, non-school related activities.
The Robinson ISD Athletic Director has since suspended summer athletic activities through Sunday, July 12, 2020.
Notification of all known contact with the student has been made at this time.
All areas will be thoroughly cleaned during this time and the custodial staff has been notified and has made a disinfecting plan.
Programs are allowed to hold virtual meetings and distribute at-home workouts.
July 13th is the planned date of return at this time.
