WACO — The fifth annual RivALZ Game, for raising Alzheimer awareness and funding, is seeking players now.

According to the Alzheimer's Association, Alzheimer's is the sixth leading cause of death in the United States.

5.8 million Americans are living with Alzheimer's but those numbers are expected to jump to nearly three times the current figures in less than 30 years.

To help raise awareness and funds to aid the Association in their research, the Alzheimer's Association of Waco is holding their annual women's football game where each player will raise a total of $300.

All funds earned will go directly to the association and their fight against the aggressive disease.

The best part? All can participate! Signing up as a superfan, volunteer, or veteran are options for those that can't/don't want to throw the pigskin.

The RivALZ Game will be held in the Waco area in the early summer 2020.

Practice for the teams will begin soon and will be held weekly.
