WACO, TX — With the COVID-19 crisis, senior year was cut short for thousands of students. However, one photographer is taking the time to take drive-by senior portraits from a distance.

Her hope is to capture a little spark for these seniors who are missing out on events like prom and graduation.

"About 150 people reached out to me wanting these drive by photo sessions, and it's a way to give back to them," said Trilby Trayler.

For Robinson High School senior Taylor Strain, she says this feels unreal. She's upset she may not be able to complete her senior year the way she had expected. Nevertheless, she is grateful for the experience to have a senior photo session amid COVID-19.

"She is going to drive by and take pictures of families and seniors because some won't have the chance to do that so I am thankful that she is doing that," said Strain.

Trayler is using this project as a way to showcase the strength seniors have to get through this year. Every senior she has taken a picture of held a sign with a word, and the full message reads "We will overcome. We are class of 2020."
