MOODY, TX — One man is dead after a tractor hauling cattle overturned near Moody Saturday night.
The driver, 48-year-old James Pervis of Fairfield, was pronounced dead at the scene.
DPS says on Saturday, August 8, at approximately 11:35 p.m., a fatal crash occurred on FM-107 near E. Whitson Street, northwest of Moody.
A Kenworth truck tractor hauling cattle was unable to negotiate the curve in the roadway, causing the vehicle to lose control and overturn, according to DPS.
Next of kin have been notified. The investigation is still active and ongoing.
DPS would like to remind drivers that slowing down allows more time to react to properly adjust your speed for the road conditions or changes in traffic patterns.
