Officials seize over 80 pounds of meth from trailer in Waco

WACO, TX — The Waco Texas Anti-Gang (TAG) unit seized over 80 pounds of methamphetamine from a trailer located in Waco on September 30, 2020.

At approximately 2 p.m., the Waco TAG unit executed a search warrant at a residence at the 1100 block of Proctor Avenue. While searching the residence in addition to the methamphetamine, a stolen motorcycle was recovered.

As a direct result of the ongoing investigation, a vehicle was stopped on IH-35, north of Waco. A vehicle search revealed more than three pounds of methamphetamine and a stolen firearm within the vehicle.

The investigation led to the arrest of three suspects who were charged with felony possession of a controlled substance in addition to several other charges. All three suspects were transported to the McLennan County Jail.

The Waco Texas Anti-Gang (TAG) consists of personnel assigned from the Waco Police Department, McLennan County Sheriff’s Office, McLennan County District Attorney’s Office, Texas Department of Public Safety, and United States Marshals service.

Assisting with the operation the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA), Waco Fire Department, the United States Attorney’s Office, and the Temple Police Department. This is an ongoing investigation and further details are not available.
