AXTELL, TX — No serious injuries were reported after a school bus crash in Axtell on Thursday.
DPS said the accident happened around 7 a.m. on SH 31 and Cavin east bound. The bus had its stop sign out with flashing lights.
A driver of a Dodge pickup was attempting to drive around the bus and hit the back of it. The driver was cited for failure to control speed.
There were 14 students on the bus and one student was attempting to enter the bus when they were hit. The student sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
No students were transported to the hospital. They have all been taken to school by another bus.
