WACO, TX — New changes are coming to 11 acres of downtown Waco. That change is also known as the Brazos Promenade Riverfront Development.

The project is set to break ground in February of 2020, and is expected to open in two to three years.

Kent George, the Economic Development Manager, told 25 News some of the projects include a full service hotel and restaurant, a music venue, a mixed residential space, improved dog park areas and a new farmers market space.

"As the city grows, we want to make sure that we offer everything that we can for people to live, work and play. It's something that we all say in this business but we really mean it and want to embrace. Live, work, play and learn are the major components to any growing and vibrate city and we are just doing those things here," said George. "It's time to make sure Waco is the place to do those things."
