WOODWAY, TX — Midway ISD announced plans to reopen schools on Monday, August 24, 2020, both in-person and online.
Administration recommended the approval of a revised the 2020-2021 school calendar so virtual and in-person instruction will begin August 24, 2020.
As of Thursday, July 30, approximately 32% of parents who completed a survey selected Midway Virtual School for their students when classes resume in August.
The district will continue to encourage parents to complete the survey in the coming weeks as only 4,600 out of an estimated 8,400
expected forms have been submitted.
The decision also positions the faculty and staff to “pivot” to a 100% virtual instructional environment in the event the spread of COVID-19 forces individual campuses or the entire school district to temporarily close.
