WOODWAY, TX — A McGregor 20-year-old was arrested on Sunday for evading police during a traffic stop and possession of marijuana.
The Woodway Public Safety Department said an officer caught Parker Watts speeding more than 20 over the speed limit on Highway 84. The officer attempted to stop Watts, but he reportedly made a U-turn and ran a red light to avoid the officer.
After a short pursuit, the officer was able to get the license plate number and vehicle description. Later on Sunday, officers found the suspect vehicle parked at a home in the Harris Creek neighborhood. Officers said Watts was still inside.
Watts was then taken into custody and found with 31 grams of marijuana.
He was booked into the McLennan County Jail on an evading arrested with a vehicle charge, a possession of marijuana charge and two bond forfeiture warrants.
