WACO, TX — A Waco-based self storage business is asking for the public's help after they say two individuals broke into their facility and stole a Marine veteran’s service memorabilia.
Unlimited Self Storage is offering a $500 reward per name ($1,000 total), to anyone who can identify the individuals and "help bring them to justice."
The robbery happened on Aug. 26 between 2:30 AM and 4:00 AM, according to a Facebook post made by Unlimited Self Storage.
"These individuals cut through our fence, vandalized our security system and stole items from multiple units," the post said. "Worst of all, the criminals stole a Marine veteran’s service memorabilia, including his military-issued duffle bag, uniforms and medals earned during his service to our country."
The first suspect is seen wearing a black and green shirt with the hashtag #truthdontlie on the front, red and gray Under Armour shoes, white Oakley sunglasses, and a Texas Tech backpack, according to Unlimited Self Storage.
The second suspect is seen wearing sweatpants with a blue stripe down the sides.
"This is an active investigation. We ask anyone who recognizes the suspects to please step forward," the post said.
Unlimited Self Storage says they want their customers and community to know that as a locally owned business, they are taking this incident very seriously and are implementing several new security measures to protect their facility and tenants.
