WACO, TX — A man was arrested for trafficking a victim across Texas, possibly in the Waco area.
On November 1, human trafficking detectives received information linked to possible human trafficking in the Waco area.
Following an investigation and operation, a victim of human trafficking was located and identified.
The McLennan County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigations Division says the victim's trafficker was also located. He has been identified as Devonte Roberson of Desoto.
Authorities say the victim was trafficked in multiple areas throughout Texas. They were provided services through UnBound and the Advocacy Center for Crime Victims and Children.
Roberson was arrested and charged with felony promotion of prostitution. He was taken to the McLennan County Jail.
