LORENA, TX — Lorena schools were briefly on lock down Friday afternoon after a stolen vehicle was reported traveling on streets near the campuses.
At approximately 11:44 AM , Lorena PD received a report of a stolen vehicle in the area of Lorena.
Officers soon learned that the vehicle may have been traveling on streets near the school, according to police.
"School officials were notified and followed their procedures by not allowing anybody to enter or to leave the school campuses," Lorena Police said.
At 1:05 PM, a Lorena officer located the vehicle and took the driver, who was identified as a juvenile female, into custody and transported her to the Bill Logue Juvenile Justice Facility.
