WACO, TX — A local business is hoping to make a difference for seniors across Waco on Valentine's Day.
Waco Balloon Co. joined a national movement called #AdoptAGrandparent.
All they need is locals to help by sponsoring a senior.
Each senior will be gifted with a special valentines balloon bouquet and a handwritten note.
"I really just want to see that smile that they might not have had in a few days or a month and give them that sense of joy and let them know that we still care about them!" said Alexis Escobar, owner of Waco Balloon Co.
It's a smile Hanna Fischer with the Arbor House of Waco says they will definitely have when they receive their gift.
" I know that they love balloons and will fight for them to put them on their wheelchairs and doors and this is going to be a really fun idea," said Hanna Fischer with Arbor House of Waco.
Escobar partnered with two senior homes and combined they have 90 seniors.
The goal is for all of them to receive a gift. As of Monday, she had 68 seniors sponsored.
Sponsoring a senior only costs $10.
