WACO, TX — The Humane Society of Central Texas is offering free adoptions of all adult dogs due to an influx of animals they've received.

There are 100 adult dogs at the Waco Animal Shelter. Officials say that number is increasing daily.

The Humane Society is offering free adoptions to help find each of those 100 dogs a forever home.

Those looking to adopt are required to have everyone from their household, as well as their own dogs, present at the meet-and-greet so Pet Matchmakers can be sure that the adopters and animal will have the best match.

The Humane Society is also asking people who find stray animals or can no longer care for their pet to first call the Humane Society at (254) 754-1454 or Waco Pets Alive! at (254) 300-8575. If you are in need of help, click here.

Officials say animals should never be abandoned, so the shelter is always available to take animals that are in danger.
