Hewitt Police Department to participate in National Prescription Drug Take Back Day

HEWITT, TX — The Hewitt Police Department will participate in the DEA's Drug Take Back Day October 21 through October 26.

National Prescription Drug Take Back Day provides a safe way for disposing of prescription drugs. The department will be collecting unused or expired medications. Syringes, medical equipment or medical clothing will not be collected.

Collections will start Oct. 21 and last until Oct. 26. Citizens will be able to drop off unwanted or unused prescription drugs at the Hewitt Police Department on 100 Patriot Court, Hewitt, TX 76643 The department is open 24 hours per day.
