WACO, TX — On June 22, Hawaiian Falls will host "Champion's Day," a private event for individuals with special needs, from 8:30 to 10 a.m., said a spokesperson.
The park will still be open to the public Saturday during regular business hours, from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
"Champions" get in free and are welcome to stay and play all day, said a spokesperson. Admission for companions is $10 until noon, and each Champion is allowed a maximum of four companions.
The water park's website said Champion's Day is "A special time for our Champions (individuals with special needs) and their family and friends to enjoy the park all to themselves with out the noise and lines from the general public."
Those interested can book their tickets in advance, or purchase them at the entrance. The park is located at 900 Lake Shore Drive, across from the Riverbend Ballpark. For more information, head to the park's website or call 254-892-0222.
