Greater Waco Chamber to host free virtual Workforce Resource Summit to help local businesses

WACO, TX — Today the Greater Waco Chamber is hosting its Workforce Resource Summit and it has some exciting local companies lined up to talk about how they do so well.

Today’s summit is virtual, free of charge and everyone is welcome, it really couldn't be easier to log on to hear from business leaders from across Texas.

The Greater Waco Chamber kicks off a first of its kind Workforce Resouce Summit geared towards you.

Starting at 8:30 this morning the Texas workforce commission’s Bryan Daniel will be keynote speaking, addressing trending topics affecting businesses now.

Jennifer Branch, Director of existing industries & workforce development for Greater Waco Chamber says, “workforce challenges, skills gap, finding candidates and diversity and inclusion and equity, those were all things that were here pre-COVID, but really everything‘s been intensified through the pandemic.“

You can expect hot button sessions from medical officers and employment attornies addressing what to do if you have COVID in the workforce, from both the medical and legal perspectives.

Magnolia, Waco Tours and Catipillar are coming together for a highly anticipated panel kicking off at 11:40 AM.

Two more incentives to join the free summit today, Society of Human Resource Management Credit or SHRM credits can be earned today, and at the very end, there’s a raffle for participants with $50 gift cards.
