WACO, TX — A German company that specializes in hot-dip galvanization is opening a plant in Waco.
Hot-dip galvanization is the process of coating iron and steel with zinc in order to protect it from the elements and air pollution.
ZINKPOWER announced the Waco plant will be the largest in their company. The company broke ground in September 2019.
The plant will hold a 60-foot kettle and will be "perfect for the American hot-dip galvanizing market," according to the company.
This is the second U.S. location for the German company. Their other location is in Portland, Oregon.
