WOODWAY, TX — A former Midway ISD employee was arrested and charged with injury to a child after officials say he injured a student.

Hewitt police said that Richard Reasor, a former employee of Midway ISD, was arrested on Monday after being charged with injury to a child.

Police said that a witness told a Woodgate Intermediate school resource officer that they had seen Reasor physically assault a student back in October.

After an investigation, Reasor was found to have assaulted an 11-year-old. Witnesses told investigators that Reasor had pushed the student to the ground and placed his knee into the student's back.

Reasor was arrested and charged with injury to a child.

Reasor is no longer listed on Midway's website, but had been previously listed as an Intensive Behavioral Intervention and Support assistant.
