GHOLSON, TX — Deputies arrested a Gholson man after he allegedly shot his 75-year-old mother three times Friday morning.
Kenneth Young, 55, was taken into custody Friday morning by McLennan County Sheriff's Deputies and charged with attempted murder.
Young shot his mother three times at a home in the 200 block of Fox Glenn around 8:30 AM, according to Major Ricky Armstrong.
The woman was taken to the hospital and is "alive and okay," Armstrong said. Deputies are still working on figuring out why the shooting occurred.
The investigation is ongoing.
Young is being held in the McLennan County Jail.
