WACO, TX — Waco Police were dispatched to the intersection of N. New Road and Franklin for a traffic crash at 10:15 Wednesday morning.
When officers arrived, they found a truck had struck a man on a bike that was attempting to cross the street.
A Registered Nurse was on the scene and quickly began rendering aid to the cyclists.
The man was sent to the hospital with significant injuries to his head and one of his legs.
The driver of the truck was not injured.
Some of the lanes on New Road will be shut down and the public is being advised to avoid the area.
