WACO, TX — The Waco Fire department has rescued 4 people from a "raft" that was deflating in the Brazos River near Pecan Bottoms on Saturday.

Officials said the raft was actually a large, inflatable swan pool float, and firefighters were able to pull it ashore with no injuries reported.

The Waco Fire Department tweeted earlier that units were on the scene of a reported raft deflating in the Brazos River. The raft was near Pecan Bottoms and contained 4 people.

Officials said the raft was moving quickly in the flooded river.

The Waco Fire Department asks that people be aware that the river is swollen and moving fast with dangerous currents.

Officials say the water is full of debris, which can be very dangerous right now.
