WACO, TX — Waco Fire Department responded to a house fire early Tuesday morning on 3000 Edmond Avenue.
Units arrived within 3 minutes of the call to see heavy fire showing from the one-story house.
The fire was "knocked down in ten minutes," said officials.
The occupants of the house, a family of 6, were awakened by the smoke alarm and able to get out of the house. However, the family has been displaced due to the severity of the damage.
One firefighter suffered a minor injury while battling the fire.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation at this time.

At 5:38 a.m., the department tweeted that units were arriving on scene to a one-story house with heavy fire.
