WACO, TX — The Waco Police Department is warning of credit/debit card skimmers found today on a fuel pump near Valley Mills Dr.

Waco Police Department was made aware this morning of credit/debit card skimmers that were found on a fuel pump at 2508 N. Valley Mills Dr (N. Valley Mills and Hilltop) at the My Stop Convenience Store.

According to the store clerk/manager, a service technician was called to service a pump that was not working properly.

After opening up the pump, he noticed that wires were cut so he began checking other pumps.

That's when he located a skimmer on one of the pumps.

The manager of the store says that it has most likely been there less than 1 week, according to police.

The skimmer has been removed.

"Once again, if you believe you have fallen victim to this type of crime/fraud, please reach out to your bank first and gather you documents," Waco Police said. "Afterwards, come on up to the police department so we can begin the reporting process of this crime for you. We will need bank statements from you bank showing that you were in fact a victim."
