WACO, TX — China Spring Cares has been rallying community members to support their school district’s students since 2013. They host two drives a year for back-to-school time and for Christmas time.
This Saturday, they will be hosting their Christmas Drive from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the Old China Spring Intermediate School, delivering Christmas gifts for children and offering an opportunity for children to shop for free clothing.
Volunteers are requested for the 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. shift. Some volunteers will be matched with children to shop for clothes, while other volunteers will be sneaking presents into the cars of parents.
Presents are already wrapped for the 180 children whose parents filled out applications. The organization will be serving 45 families total. China Spring Cares will still offer clothing to students throughout the year. Donations for the organization go through China Spring United Methodist Church.
