WACO, TX — A Chick-fil-A employee at Richland Mall has tested positive for coronavirus.
The Waco-McLennan County Public Health District says the employee did NOT have customer exposure and had not been at the facility in the days prior to him being tested.
"The health district will follow up with all his direct contacts with phone calls. There is no danger or exposure to the public at large from this case," the post said.
Chick-fil-A has temporarily closed the Richland Mall location after learning someone on the team had a confirmed COVID-19 case.
The restaurant is working with the Waco-McLennan Health District, as well as disinfecting and deep cleaning the location.
A re-opening date will be determined following clearance from local health authorities.
The Waco-McLennan County Public Health District confirmed this is one of the six cases previously reported in McLennan County.
