WACO, TX — Portions of Business 77 (BUS 77) mainlanes under I-35 will close permanently starting Saturday at 7 p.m., according to the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT).
The BUS 77 mainlanes will close where the lanes cross under I-35 in Waco.
Crews will close the lanes on BUS 77 from the on-ramps east of the intersection to the first ramps on the west of I-35.
Drivers coming from southbound BUS 77 will take the N. Dallas/Fort Worth exit and get back on BUS 77 after Taylor Street. The current turns for I-35 north and south under the highway will stay open.
Drivers coming from northbound BUS 77 will take the I-35 North/Dallas/Fort Worth Austin exit and get back on BUS 77 at the next on-ramp west of the I-35 crossing. This ramp is north of US 84 and Waco Drive. The existing turns for going toward north and southbound I-35 will stay open.
TxDOT reminds drivers to watch for warning signs of upcoming changes and to obey speed limits in construction zones.
