WACO, Texas — Born with a rare genetic disease, four-month-old Noah Ansari needs a donor.

At only six-weeks-old, the Ansari family was told their newborn, Noah, was one in a million. Born with Wiskott Aldrich Syndrome, a rare genetic disease that causes bleeding problems, immune deficiencies and severe eczema, the disease only affects only one per million infant males.

"You wouldn't really know by looking at him that he has Wiskott Aldrich Syndrome, but then we go to the doctor and realize how low his platelets are and that he does need the transfusion," said Noah's mom, Jessica.

Doctors have said Noah needs a blood stem cell donor and quickly.

"The doctors are looking at they need to do it two months from now, but by 8-years-old, if he does not receive the transplant, it does not look good," said Beth Carrion with Be The Match.

"That could be the cure for him, so that's why we're trying so hard to find a perfect match to give him the best chance of success," said Jessica.

Be The Match, the world's largest registry, says one in 430 people are life-saving matches. They are now on a mission to safe Noah's life by finding someone who can help.

"You're really asking someone for a gift. There's no way to actually say thank you someone willing to save Noah's life," said Jessica.

Registering with Be The Match is simple, free and, most importantly, still happening during the pandemic.

"If you text 4Noah to 61474, you can register and get your kit mailed to your house to you. It's a simple cheek swab to get registered," Carrion explained.

Becoming a potential donor can be done entirely from home. By texting 4Noah to 61474, Be The Match will send a cheek swab kit in the mail, which is self administered and sent back. If you happen to be a match to one of the thousands of people in need of a stem cell donor, 80% of all donation is as easy as giving blood.

"You don't really realize that something could save someone's life. There really isn't a way to say thank you... you're really giving someone a second chance at life, truly," concluded Jessica.

To see if you could be the match to baby Noah simply text 4Noah to 61474.
