WACO, TX — Baylor is increasing its law enforcement presence around off-campus housing complexes in the vicinity of the university in order to patrol for parties.
President Linda A. Livingstone announced students will notice the increased presence in the evening.
The university says it is supporting the City of Waco's directive limiting social gatherings to 10 or fewer people.
"As members of the Baylor Family, we have a responsibility to our Waco community, as we all come into contact with individuals from high-risk groups on a daily basis," said Livingstone.
The university president is encouraging students who see "any activity that does not support Baylor's COVID-19 prevention or mitigation efforts" to report it online.
