WACO, TX — Baylor University announced Monday it is extending President Livingstone's contract until 2024.
President Linda A. Livingstone, Ph.D. began serving as Baylor’s 15th president on June 1, 2017 on a three-year contract.
Her new, amended contract is five years and will last until May 31, 2024, with the option for two automatic one-year extensions.

Last week, Baylor also announced new contract terms for its Vice President and Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Mack B. Rhoades IV and head football coach Matt Rhule.
“These long-term contract extensions reflect the tremendous positive momentum Baylor has experienced over the past two-plus years under our current University leadership,” said Board of Regents Chair Jerry K. Clements . “Dr. Livingstone has energized our faculty, staff, students and alumni with an aspirational vision, as Baylor strives to become a Research 1/Tier 1 university."
Livingstone’s contract includes performance incentives and base salary. Baylor does not disclose the specifics of contracts, as it is a private university.
