HEWITT, TX — A 9-year-old girl was hit by a van while crossing the street Friday afternoon.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, around 4:40 p.m. on August 30, troopers responded to an auto-pedestrian crash on FM-2837 near FM-2113, west of Hewitt.
DPS says a 9-year-old girl was crossing the street when she was hit by a Honda van traveling northbound.
The girl was taken to Baylor Scott & White in Waco with minor injuries. The driver of the Honda was not injured.
DPS says no charges have been filed as a result of this investigation.
DPS would like to remind pedestrians to look both ways before crossing any street.
