Oceans Healthcare, a 48-bed behavioral hospital, is set to open its doors in early March.

The hospital broke ground in March 2018 at 5931 Crosslake Parkway in Waco.

“Texas ranks third among U.S. states for the highest prevalence of mental health challenges, while at the same time, ranking last for access to care,” said Stuart Archer, CEO of Oceans Healthcare. “We are committed to expanding mental health treatment in communities across Texas, and we are honored to support the residents of Waco and McLennan County with patient-centered care.”

The facility will provide inpatient and outpatient care to individuals managing depression, anxiety and other behavioral health challenges.

The facility is located near Baylor Scott & White Hillcrest Medical Center.

The 32,700-square-foot facility employs 90 people in highly-trained clinical and support team positions. Inpatient treatment is available to individuals 50 and older and intensive outpatient programs are available for adults 18 and older.
