2020 Texas Food Truck Showdown canceled over COVID-19 concerns

WACO, TX — The Greater Waco Chamber of Commerce has canceled the 2020 Texas Food Truck Showdown.

The event was originally postponed, but the Waco Chamber of Commerce now says it won't happen until 2021.

"After careful consideration and guidance, the Greater Waco Chamber of Commerce has made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 Texas Food Truck Showdown as a result of the current COVID-19 situation," the Facebook post said.

They say their top priority is strengthening and growing our local economy while keeping the community safe and healthy.

The Texas Food Truck Showdown says they are looking forward to planning the 2021 event and seeing everyone next year.
