WACO, TX — Waco police have arrested a 19-year-old in connection to a string of car burglaries.
Police believe Jacob Aaron Elting is responsible for at least 25 burglaries in the China Spring and North Waco areas mid-April. Police said Elting would walk through neighborhoods and apartment complexes to find unlocked cars.
Elting was arrested on Tuesday afternoon for theft of a firearm and two counts of burglary of a motor vehicle. Police said more charges may be added.
Waco police worked with the McLennan County Sheriff's Office to investigate the burglaries.
