Killeen Police arrest suspect from Mother’s Day shooting

KILLEEN, TX — A man has been arrested for a shooting at a Killeen McDonalds on Mother's Day.

Jontay Perez Naylor, 25, has been charged with aggravated assault threaten bodily injury with a deadly weapon.

Killeen Police were dispatched on Sunday, May 10 to the McDonald’s Restaurant located at 1105 S. Fort Hood Street in reference to a shots fired call at approximately 4:18 p.m.

Upon the officers’ arrival, they located a gray Jeep with damage to the vehicle.

The suspect fled the area prior to the officers’ arrival.

The preliminary investigation revealed that the female victim and the suspect were involved in a domestic disturbance.

The female left the residence in her vehicle with her four children when the male began to follow and ram her vehicle numerous times, according to police.

The victim drove to the parking lot of McDonald’s when the suspect approached the vehicle, exchanged some words with her and discharged a weapon into the vehicle.

On May 11, 2020, the Bell County Attorney’s Office reviewed this case and a complaint was returned charging Jontay Perez Naylor, 25, with Aggravated Assault Threaten Bodily Injury with a Deadly Weapon.

A warrant was obtained and on Thursday, May 28, 2020, at approximately 12:05 a.m., with the assistance of the United States Marshals – Lone Star Fugitive Task Force, Naylor was located and arrested.

He is currently in the Bell County Jail.
