UPDATE: Waco police identify victim in Sunday double shooting

UPDATE, 9/22,5:00 p.m.:
Waco Police have identified the shooting victim as 18-year-old Elijah McIntyre.

No arrests have been made.

UPDATE, 9/22,7:00 a.m.:
Waco police are searching for a suspect accused of shooting two teens on Sunday, killing one of them.

The Waco Police Department says the shooting happened September 21 on N 9th St.

Two people were shot, an 18-year-old man and a 19-year-old man. The 18-year-old died, but his identity has not been released.

Police believe the shooting was an isolated incident, but no arrests in the case have been made.

This is the eighth homicide investigation of 2025.

Two people are injured after a possible shooting Sunday night.

Waco Police tell 25 News they responded to a call around 8:30 p.m. to North 9th Street and Bosque Boulevard where they found two people with injuries consistent with a shooting incident.

Police say they don't know the condition of those injured, but they were taken to a nearby hospital.

25 News also received phone calls about a heavy police presence around 9 p.m. Sunday.
