COLLEGE STATION, TX — The Benjamin Knox gallery has ten years worth of new artwork on display. The 2020 Collection is bringing hope during a difficult time.

At first glance, a rainy day doesn't inspire a smile. But look closer, as with every Benjamin Knox painting and you'll find so much more. You can see the little girl drawing hearts and a rainbow as she gazes out her window.

"The artist side of me is searching. Always searching for something more. Finding truth in beauty. Finding a lot of things that people overlook and searching for that," said Knox.

The little girl is Knox's daughter and the painting is part of ten years of artwork that is now part of the 2020 Collection.

"During the pandemic and when we had to quarantine, I utilized that time to paint and to complete all these paintings with that in mind. These are all peaceful natural beautiful environments that enlighten," said Knox.

The prolific Aggie Artist paints Presidents and First Lady's and leaves his mark across the country. But the latest collection is deeply rooted in Texas and the Brazos Valley.

"We're trying to balance family with kids, with the business. One thing we did not know is we were going to be faced with some major trying challenges. Pulling ourselves up from the bootstraps amid these things that are very difficult," said Knox.

Community members helped cut the ribbon to signify the Aggie staple is still open and the Brazos Valley art scene is always creating.
