COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KRHD) — K-9 Officer Tindel and his new partner, K9 Garo, have officially begun patrol duty following four months of intensive training in Utah.
K-9 Garo is trained to assist in article searches, narcotics detection, tracking, and criminal apprehension.
Police dogs are widely used in law enforcement at both federal and local levels worldwide. Often assigned to K-9 units, these dogs work with specific handlers and are trained to respond to verbal commands and hand signals.
Their addition to the force highlights the department’s commitment to enhancing public safety and law enforcement capabilities.
