A wildfire in Washington Terrace threatened homes and forced the evacuation of hundreds of homes Monday.
The Adams Fire started just after 11 a.m. and quickly spread to an updated estimated size of 45 acres. Its cause has yet to be determined, and an investigation is now underway on the south perimeter of the fire.
Residents in the area were given evacuation orders, but at 5:30 p.m. on Monday all evacuation orders were lifted and people were allowed to return to their homes.
Two people were injured during the fire, but no major structural damage was reported.
The South Weber Fire Department said it is now under control, although the official containment estimate is 10 percent.

"It's just a tragedy. It's devastating seeing our community going up in flames...so it's a wake-up call for all of us. We have to take care of our community and make sure this doesn't happen again," said South Weber resident Julio Ramirez.
A resident and a Weber County Sheriff's Office deputy suffered burns during the fire, with the deputy having already been treated and released.
One camping trailer was severely damaged by flames, while a home suffered minor damage.

"We will keep you updated as we receive new information, regarding when we will return to regular operating hours," the library posted to social media.
